Commission a Portrait

Updated: Jul 18

Hand-drawn in soft pastels by Mandy Jackson — Cornwall-based artist with 34 years of experience.

Every portrait is drawn by hand on Pastelmat, capturing not just the likeness of your pet or loved one, but their personality. Mandy works from your photograph through to a finished, ready-to-frame artwork — and sends you a work-in-progress image for approval before completion.

Your reference photo

The quality of your photo makes a big difference to the finished portrait. For best results, use a clear, well-lit photo taken at your pet or subject's eye level — ideally outdoors in natural light. Avoid dark, blurry, or heavily filtered images. If you're unsure whether your photo will work, send it over and Mandy will let you know.
